Following the successful installation of a new pipe belt control system during Nucor Steel Louisiana's Fall plant-wide outage, Coalmont Engineering developed and delivered a comprehensive technical training curriculum for Nucor's maintenance and supervisory personnel across all four shifts. The custom training program provides in-depth instruction on HMI operation, Studio 5000 PLC programming, network troubleshooting, and ABB ACS880 drive technology. This multi-day training initiative ensures Nucor's team has the knowledge and confidence to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot their newly installed material handling system independently, reducing reliance on external support and maximizing long-term operational efficiency. 

The project highlights Coalmont's commitment to knowledge transfer and customer empowerment in industrial automation projects. Our engineering team created detailed PowerPoint presentations and conducted hands-on training sessions using an ACS880 Drive Trainer, allowing participants to practice real-world scenarios in a controlled environment. By accommodating all maintenance shifts and tailoring the curriculum to Nucor's specific system architecture, we ensured comprehensive coverage and practical skill development.
