Coalmont Engineering designed and delivered a comprehensive Remote Support Access Kit (RSAK) for Nucor Steel Louisiana's advanced pipe belt conveyor system in Convent, Louisiana. This turnkey solution enhances operational efficiency by enabling real-time remote diagnostics and troubleshooting capabilities. The RSAK includes integrated hardware and software components featuring dual high-resolution cameras for live monitoring, a dedicated cellular Wi-Fi hotspot for secure VPN access, and a complete suite of ABB and Rockwell software packages. Our engineering team installed a mini-PC directly into the PLC control panel, providing Nucor personnel and Coalmont engineers 24/7 remote access to all pipe belt networks for rapid response and system optimization. 

The project highlights modern industrial automation practices, integrating advanced remote monitoring technology with practical field support. In addition to the hardware package, Coalmont provides one year of minor remote engineering support, including regular system performance monitoring and optimization recommendations. This proactive approach minimizes downtime and maximizes production efficiency for Nucor's critical material handling operations. The solution provides an innovative, technology-driven support system that extends our engineering capabilities directly to the customer’s facility, ensuring continuous and reliable operational excellence in the steel manufacturing industry.
